Season 2, Episode 2: Interview with Leanne Fan, America’s Top Young Scientist
Host Ethan Rhee interviews, Leanne Fan, who is a 9th grader that was named America’s Top Young Scientist after winning the 2022 3M Young Scientist Challenge. She is also the younger sister of Kara Fan, who was interviewed in Season One of the podcast. Leanne joins us to share her invention, the Finsen Headphones, which uses phototherapy to kill bacteria and cure middle ear infections in young children.
