Season 2, Episode 5: Interview with Andie from the iGEM INSA ENS Lyon1 2023 Team
Host Ethan Rhee interviews Andie from the iGEM INSA ENS Lyon1 2023 Team. They are a group of 15 students from several schools in Lyon, France. With a goal to fight antibiotic resistance, their project focuses on inactivating a gene found in resistant bacteria. Their project goal is to generate a biological process that will make antibiotic resistance genes of bacteria non-functional by relying on a set of techniques and systems at different scales, such as CRISPRi or PROTACs. They will competing in the iGEM competition which is a non-profit foundation that was founded in 2004 by MIT students. Andie shares her background and her team’s project with us.
